Popsicle Stick Crow Craft for Kids
This craft stick bird craft won’t break the budget and can help kids work on fine motor skills through cutting and painting. We also love the creativity your child can tap into when dressing their crows anyway they want.

Supplies Needed For This Cute Popsicle Stick Crow Craft
Directions To Make These Popsicle Stick Crows Craft
When you’re done making these, pose them in a houseplant, have a puppet show, or just play with them! Make extras to give to friends. This is also a fun make & take craft project for kid’s harvest or fall parties.
Step 1
Paint each craft stick black. Regular black acrylic should work just fine.
Tips: You can paint the sticks ahead of time and let the kids do the embellishing.
Step 2
Cut beaks from yellow card stock and use a little glue to stick it to the popsicle stick.
Step 3
Attach googly eyes with white craft glue.
Step 4
Attach embellishments such as bows and bandannas.
If using a hat, be sure to put it on first as your googly eyes will need to be positioned farther down than on crows not wearing a hat. Add some glue inside the hat and insert the stick. It will take some time to dry, so be patient! Alternatively, a grown up can use hot glue to make the hat stick immediately.
Tips: For the embellishments, you can make simple bows from scrapbook paper to use as hair bows (for girl crows) or bow ties for boys. The little straw hats can be found at your local craft store. I also used a bandanna which I cut down to a small square. Fabric scraps work great too!

Let everything dry completely before playing with your craft stick crows!

I love to make projects with craft sticks. I always have a plastic shoebox container full of them, just waiting for inspiration to strike.
Like recently when I was going through my supplies looking for something else, and came across my container full of craft sticks. It’s kind of weird how thinks just pop into my head, and that’s what happened with these crows.

How to Make Popsicle Stick Birds
- Paint each popsicle stick the color of the bird features you will use.
- When the paint has dried, add the bird eyes, beak and feathers.
- Dress your colorful bird the way you want with cute embellishments made out of scraps of paper or fabric.
