Kid Sitting Out Of Moving MG ZS EV’s Sunroof: Internet Wants Police To Take Action [Video]

While we have better roads and highways in almost every part of the country, there are some habits that road users in India and many other countries refuse to follow. Most modern cars sold in India now come with a feature called a sunroof. Kids love this feature, and at times, it can make or break the deal for car manufacturers. People misusing this feature is a common sight on our roads. Here, we have a video where a kid is seen sitting on the roof of a moving EV. The video has now gone viral, and netizens have asked the concerned authorities to take necessary action.

The video seen here was shared by Prashanth Rangaswamy on his X profile. The video was not recorded by him. He probably picked up this video from Instagram and reposted it on his profile with the caption. The caption of the video says, “An Idiot from Coimbatore putting his daughter in danger!”

It looks like the video was being recorded by someone who was behind the MG ZS EV. Looking at the angle at which this video was recorded, the vehicle behind the car was probably a bus or a truck. As seen in the video, we see a kid sitting on the roof of the SUV through the sunroof. The kid is holding onto the cover in front to ensure that she doesn’t fall.

The car was being driven on a very busy highway, and we can see the ZS EV driver swerving the car through the gaps between the vehicles. The car driver is seen following a container truck on the highway. The truck moves to the right lane after overtaking another vehicle on the right lane. Just as the truck moved to the left lane, the MG ZS EV driver saw a window and overtook the truck from the left lane.

We can see the kid getting pushed back when the car is accelerating. We know that electric cars are quick, and the ZS EV is no different. After the video went viral on the internet, people are actually furious about the owner, and they really want cops to take action against the owner of the car.

Greater Chennai Police did post a reply under this video and have told that they have informed the concerned. One of the users has posted a comment asking the cops to suspend the driving license of the driver along with heavy fines. Another user wrote, “Lots of cars in Cbe are doing this a lot nowadays! Parents are less cared about their own kin’s life, which is the real beauty…”

Standing out of the sunroof of a moving car is not something we recommend or one should do. The kid could have easily fallen off the car or even got injured if the car accelerated fast or applied brakes. All the dust and dirt particles from cars and trucks that are moving in front of the ZS EV would hit the kid’s face and would once again injure the kid.

This is not the first time we have come across a video where someone is seen standing out of the sunroof of a moving car. Cops have issued heavy fines against such offenders, and we hope for a similar action against the car driver here. Sunroofs are primarily designed to facilitate air circulation in vehicles.

However, in India, where many cities suffer from high levels of pollution, the practicality of using sunroofs for their intended purpose may seem questionable. This is why some individuals believe that sunroofs are meant to be opened and utilized for standing, allowing the wind to directly hit their faces.
