Toyota Innova HyCross: Bookings Reopened For Top Variants, Prices Hiked

Finally, after being halted for over a year, Toyota has resumed bookings for the Innova Hycross ZX and ZX(O) variants. In addition to this, the company has also hiked the pricing of the top-spec ZX and ZX(O) variants as well. Ever since the bookings were stopped last year, the waiting time for these variants increased to more than 2 years. It seems like the brand will now steadily deliver these extremely in-demand models.

The Innova Hycross ZX and ZX(O) variants were launched with a starting price of Rs 28.33 lakh and Rs 28.97 lakh. However, after this recent commencement of bookings, the company has hiked their prices. Currently, the ZX and ZX(O) variants are priced at Rs 30.34 lakh and Rs 30.98 lakh.

Innova Hycross ZX(O) Selling at Premium

Earlier in March, it was reported by Team BHP that the official bookings were stopped by Toyota. Some dealers in the black market were selling the highly sought-after ZX(O) variant at a premium.

These dealerships and individual dealers were asking Rs 3.5-4 lakh on top of the Rs 35 lakh on-road price of the model. Because of this, many Innova Hycross Hybrid buyers shared their anguish with the brand.

Interested buyers asked why they were being forced to contend with inflated prices and lengthy delays. They added that Toyota should note these activities in the black market and put an end to it.

Toyota Innova Hycross ZX(O)

The Toyota Innova Hycross, as we all know, is an extremely popular premium MPV in the country. Its ZX(O) variant, which is the most expensive one in its lineup, is especially more popular. This model comes equipped with a hybrid powertrain and gets all the creature comforts and features.

Apart from this hybrid powertrain, the lower variants of the Innova Hycross come without a hybrid system. This powertrain comprises a 2.0-litre petrol engine producing 173 bhp and 209 Nm of torque. This engine comes mated to a CVT transmission.
