Volkswagen India has finally launched the new Taigun GT Plus Sport variant in India. This new and unique model starts at ₹18.54 lakh. Recently, a video showing this new SUV at a dealership stockyard has been shared online. This particular model is a more aggressive and sinister-looking version of the already popular Taigun GT SUV.

It starts off with the presenter mentioning that at the time of recording this video, this model’s price had not been officially revealed. Following this, he commences the walkaround video of the new Taigun GT Plus Sport.
Volkswagen Taigun GT Plus Sport: Exterior Design
Starting at the front, the presenter first shows the grille of the SUV. He states that it now comes finished in high-gloss black. It also comes equipped with the same dual projector headlights with LED DRLs and LED turn indicators.
Next, he shows the side profile of the SUV. The first thing he states is that the SUV now gets 17-inch high-gloss black alloy wheels. The exact design of the wheels has not been changed. However, what has changed is the color of the calipers.
The Volkswagen Taigun GT Plus Sport now comes with red-colored front disc brake calipers. Meanwhile, the rear gets red drum brakes. Apart from this, the car remains exactly the same except for blacked-out roof rails and window garnishes.
Finally, the presenter moves to the rear of the Taigun GT Plus Sport. He mentions that all the design elements have been kept the same. The only major noticeable difference is the blacked-out emblems and gloss and matte black painted lower sections of the bumpers.
Volkswagen Taigun GT Plus Sport: Interior Details
Next up, the presenter opens the tailgate of the SUV and reveals the interior of the car. He first states that it gets the same 385 litres of boot space. Apart from this, the company also offers the rear seat with a 60:40 split.
Following this, he shows the rear seats of the car. The GT Plus Sport variant gets black leatherette seats. It also gets contrasting red stitching, which adds to the aggressive and sporty appearance of this SUV.
After this, he moves to the front of the SUV and shows the dashboard. The GT Plus Sport variant gets the same dashboard layout as the standard models. The only few differences are the addition of a new black-colored headliner, red ambient lighting, and aluminum pedals.
The car comes with the same 10.9-inch touchscreen infotainment screen. It also gets Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. Additionally, he also shows the automatic climate control system and ventilated seat buttons for the front seats.
Taigun GT Plus Sport: Powertrain Details
The new Volkswagen Taigun GT Plus Sport variant will come powered by the same 1.5-litre turbocharged petrol engine. This motor generates a maximum power of 148 bhp and 250 Nm.
This motor comes mated to a standard six-speed manual transmission. It also gets the optional 7-speed DSG transmission. The new Taigun GT Plus Sport 1.5L MT has been launched at Rs 18,53,900 and the GT Plus Sport 1.5L DSG at Rs 19,73,900.
