Autocar India has reported that Royal Enfield plans to launch over six new models in the current financial year. The Autocar article said, “The biggest focus of the year is going to be on building its core ‘Classic’ franchise with all-new models – facelifts, variants, and bigger displacement bikes. Royal Enfield will be introducing new models across four different displacement categories during the year.”

The five new models expected to be launched in the market are the Goan Classic 350, Scram 440, Guerilla 450, Interceptor Bear 650, and Classic 650. The Classic 350 series motorcycle will also receive a facelift or feature update. Other Royal Enfield motorcycles in the 350cc category will receive an update at a later stage.

With the introduction of new models, Royal Enfield aims to expand its portfolio and become more relevant in the ever-growing and extremely competitive market. Royal Enfield is likely aiming for double-digit growth in FY25 and plans to cross the 1 million units mark for the first time. Here is the list of 5 new motorcycles that Royal Enfield is planning to launch in the market this year.

The Goan Classic is expected to be a stripped-down version of the Classic 350 motorcycle with a retro-bobber styling. To complement the retro look, the manufacturer might offer white wall tires with this bike from the factory.

Royal Enfield Scram 440

Contrary to expectations, this motorcycle will not be based on the 450-cc liquid-cooled engine seen in the new Himalayan. Instead, it will use an air or oil-cooled 440-cc engine derived from the 411 cc engine offered with the current version of Scram. There will also be a difference in performance compared to the Himalayan. We can expect design changes compared to the Scram 11, and it is likely to be more affordable than the Himalayan.

This will be the second model from Royal Enfield, after the Himalayan, to use the 450cc Sherpa engine. However, it will not be an adventure tourer but a neo-retro roadster. The motorcycle is expected to have styling similar to the popular Hunter 350 model and is expected to rival the Triumph Speed 400.

This will be the first off-road-capable motorcycle based on the 650cc platform. Royal Enfield will offer a two-in-one exhaust setup, long-travel suspension, and many more changes. It remains to be seen if the manufacturer will tune the 650-cc parallel-twin engine differently than the Interceptor 650.

The neo-retro styling with the powerful 650-cc twin-cylinder engine is expected to appeal to many customers looking for an affordable cruise motorcycle.
