The American off-roading SUV manufacturer Jeep has launched the Wrangler facelift in India. This updated iteration of the popular lifestyle off-roader has been launched with a price tag of Rs. 67.65 lakh. Jeep India will be offering the Wrangler in two variants, namely – Unlimited and Rubicon, in the country. The newly facelifted model features a number of design updates on the outside. It also gets a few updates on the interior as well.
2024 Jeep Wrangler facelift
For the 2024 model year, Jeep India has provided the Wrangler with an updated front fascia. It continues to boast the iconic seven-slat grille. However, it has been given black surrounds which make it look more aggressive. Apart from this, it continues to get circular LED headlights.
The bumper has been kept the same, and it still gets the same fog light setup. The wide front fenders which house LED DRLs and turn indicators have also been retained. Apart from these, the car now comes with cornering gorilla glass.
Moving on the side profile, it gets new 17 and 18-inch alloy wheels. The former is offered with the Rubicon variant, meanwhile, the latter is offered with the Unlimited variant. It also gets a three-piece modular hardtop. Moving on to the rear, it gets the exact same design as before.
2024 Jeep Wrangler: Interior and features
The overall interior layout of the Wrangler has also been kept the same. However, this time around, it gets a massive 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment screen. It also gets Nappa leather interior with the steering wheel and gear knob finished in the same leather.
It also comes equipped with a 7-inch digital instrument gauge cluster, an 8-speaker sound system in the Unlimited variant, and an Alpine premium 9-speaker audio system with the Rubicon variant.
2024 Jeep Wrangler: Mechanical specifications and pricing
Coming to the main highlight of this SUV, it comes loaded with a ton of off-road equipment. It gets electronically disconnectable front sway bar and heavy-duty Dana44 Axles with Tru Lok.
Additionally, it also gets 4-pre-wired auxiliary switches and off-road Plus mode. It also gets a performance suspension as well.
As for the powertrain side of things, the 2024 Jeep Wrangler still comes powered by a 2.0-liter turbocharged petrol engine. The four-cylinder engine generates a maximum power of 268 PS and a peak torque of 400 Nm.
Transmission duties are handled by an 8-speed torque converter as standard. It is the only engine and transmission option that is available with the made-in-India Wrangler.
In terms of pricing, the Jeep Wrangler, as stated above, has been launched at Rs. 67.65 lakh. This pricing is for the Unlimited variant of the model. Meanwhile, the Wrangler Rubicon has been launched at Rs. 71.65 lakh.
Jeep Compass Night Eagle launched
Apart from the Jeep Wrangler, the company recently also launched the Compass at Rs. 25.39 lakh. This edition in particular is a limited-run model that comes with a unique all-black theme. The Night Eagle is built on the Longitude (O) variant and offers a number of extra features in addition to the all-black theme.
