The Mercedes Maybach GLS is an extremely popular SUV among celebrities in India. Many Bollywood actors and actresses have bought this multi-crore SUV. The latest celebrity to join this bandwagon is popular Bollywood singer Vishal Mishra. He is, in fact, the first singer from the industry to buy a Maybach GLS600 SUV. The video has been shared by Car Crazy India on their Instagram page. Vishal Mishra shot to fame for his songs “Pehle Bhi Mein” from Animal and “Kaise Hua” from Kabir Singh. The actor recently bought the brand new super luxury SUV. While many actors from Bollywood have bought this SUV, Vishal is the first singer to buy this luxury SUV.
The singer bought the SUV in an all-black shade, which looks extremely premium. We also see Vishal’s parents standing next to the car in one of the slides. The GLS is the S-Class of SUVs, and the Maybach version is more premium than the regular GLS. The GLS600 is, in fact, the first-ever Maybach SUV to be officially launched in India.
The Maybach GLS600 is available in a single variant. It is sold as a CBU and looks slightly different from the regular GLS SUV. There are chrome inserts on various parts along with the Maybach logo. The wheels are different, and the bumper is also slightly different from the regular GLS. The front grille design is also different, especially when you compare it with the 2024 GLS SUV.
When compared to the regular GLS, the Maybach version is not a 6-seater SUV. It is available with a 4-seater option only. There is a fixed center console between seats at the rear, which has controls for the seats, cupholders, infotainment screen, and also has the refrigerator. The seats are wrapped in premium material (Nappa leather) and it offers features like an electronic panoramic sliding sunroof, ventilated massaging seats, and much more.
The Maybach GLS600 is powered by a 4.0-liter V8 engine that gets a 48V mild-hybrid system. The engine generates 557 Ps and 730 Nm of peak torque. The hybrid system generates 22 Ps and 250 Nm of torque on demand. The power is sent to all the wheels and it is paired with a 9-speed automatic transmission.
The price for a brand new Maybach GLS600 starts at Rs 2.92 crore, ex-showroom. Depending on the customizations you choose, the price of the SUV goes up even more. As of now, we have no clarity on the exact spec of the Maybach that the Bollywood singer has bought.
Other than Vishal, Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut, who is stepping into politics, also bought a Maybach GLS600 SUV. She was recently spotted with her brand new SUV outside a salon in Mumbai. The actress bought the GLS600 in a white shade.
Other actors from Bollywood who own a Maybach GLS600 are Ranveer Singh, Deepika Padukone, Ajay Devgn, Shilpa Shetty, Rakul Preet, Tapsee Pannu, and many more. Indian cricketer Ajinkya Rahane and Lulu Mall owner M.A Yusuf Ali also own this super luxury SUV.
