Just before the commencement of Bharat Global Mobility Expo 2024, the country’s third-largest carmaker, Tata Motors, has unveiled the much-anticipated near-production model of the diesel Tata Curvv coupe-style SUV. Tata Motors has completely revealed the exterior design as well as the powertrain specifications for this upcoming SUV. The Curvv coupe SUV will also come equipped with an all-electric powertrain, stated Tata Motors.
2024 Tata Curvv Exterior Styling
First off, let’s start with the unique exterior styling of the Curvv diesel. With this new model, Tata Motors has adhered to its latest design philosophy. This new design philosophy comprises a modern and sporty front end, which gets a similar LED light bar, as seen on the Nexon facelift. It also gets a split headlight setup with LED headlamps placed on the front bumper. Noteworthy exterior features include flush-fitting door handles, flared wheel arches with black cladding, a continuous LED light strip at the rear, and a raked rear windshield with a sloping roofline.
The SUV will come equipped with 18-inch wheels, adding to its bold and distinctive look. In terms of dimensions, the Curvv will measure 4,308mm in length, 1,810mm in width, and 1,630mm in height. Additionally, the wheelbase of this coupe SUV will be 2,560mm, and it will come with a large 422-litre boot space, which will add to this unique vehicle’s appeal, making it both practical and stylish.
2024 Tata Curvv Interior
At the moment, the pictures of the interior of this production-ready Tata Curvv have not been shared. However, speculations are that it will look very similar to the interior of the Nexon sub-compact SUV. The Curvv is expected to feature a plethora of advanced amenities, including a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a digital driver’s display, a panoramic sunroof, and ventilated front seats.
It will most likely also get a two-spoke steering wheel with an illuminated Tata logo, an air purifier, a wireless charging pad, and a premium audio system as well. Other features that could be offered with the Curvv include a 360-degree camera, auto-dimming Inside Rear View Mirror (IRVM), and Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS). Most likely, the company will also feature a single-pane electric sunroof and other modern features with the Curvv as well.
Powertrain Specifications and Launch Timeline
The main highlight of this pre-production model is that the company has revealed its powertrain details. At the moment, the company has stated that it will come equipped with a 1.5-litre, four-cylinder diesel engine. Borrowed from the highly successful Tata Nexon facelift, this engine delivers an impressive 113 bhp and a torque of 260 Nm. This engine will come mated to a six-speed manual gearbox. As for the launch date of the Curvv, Tata Motors is expected to officially launch the diesel-powered production model later this year. The company has added that an all-electric Curvv is also on its way.
