Continuing the Blackstorm party, JSW MG Motor India has launched the all-new Hector Blackstorm in India. This new model becomes the third SUV in the brand’s lineup to receive the all-black treatment. The MG Hector and Hector Plus Blackstorm editions have been launched at Rs. 21.25 and 21.98 lakh (ex-showroom). Both of these SUVs will feature blacked-out exterior elements and all-black interior as well.
JSW MG Hector Blackstorm: Design Details
With this new Blackstorm Edition, the company has not changed anything major on this SUV. Rather, it has blacked out a ton of elements on the outside to give it a menacing appearance. In addition to this, it has also added sporty looking red color accents throughout the exterior.
The Hector Blackstorm gets a Starry Black exterior paint color. It also gets dark chrome emblems, dark chrome diamond mesh front grille, and dark chrome inserts on the Skid Plates, dark chrome tailgate garnish. Additionally, it also gets a dark chrome finish on claddings as well.
On the side profile, MG has also given the 18-inch the black treatment. In addition, the brake calipers have been painted red as well. Other exterior enhancements include piano black roof rails, piano black bezels for headlamps, and smoked connected LED taillights. The company dealership can also install Blackstorm badges once customers opt for it.
Interior Updates
As for the interior, MG has given the Hector and Hector Plus Blackstorm a much sportier all-black upholstery. Apart from this, it also includes a number of gunmetal grey elements throughout the interior. The front headrests get Blackstorm badges embossed and the car also gets a leather-wrapped steering wheel.
Apart from these, the rest of the interior remains the same as the standard models. This means it still comes equipped with a massive 14-inch portrait-style touchscreen infotainment system. It also comes with a full TFT display for the instrument gauge cluster.
MG Hector Blackstorm Pricing
Coming to the pricing of the new Blackstorm Edition Hector and Hector Plus. It has to be mentioned that all of the Blackstorm variants are based on the Sharp Pro variant of the standard models.
Both MG Hector and Hector Plus Blackstorm will come with two engine options. A 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine with 143hp mated to either a 6-speed manual or CVT gearbox. And a 2.0-litre diesel engine with 170hp paired with a 6-speed manual gearbox.
The Hector Blackstorm 5-seater has been priced at Rs. 21.24 lakh for the petrol model. Meanwhile, the diesel engine model has been priced at Rs. 21.94 lakh. On the other hand, the Hector Plus Blackstorm is being offered in 7 and 6-seater layouts. The 7-seater petrol variant has been priced at Rs. 21.97 lakh.
On the other hand, the 7-seater diesel engine model has been priced at Rs. 22.54 lakh. Lastly, the 6-seater model which solely comes with a diesel engine option has been priced at Rs. 22.75 lakh.
