Mahindra is betting big with the launch of the updated XUV 300. It will now be called the Mahindra XUV 3XO, and the company has now released another new teaser of this SUV. This new teaser showcases the all-new segment-first skyroof panoramic sunroof of this SUV. The XUV 3XO will become the most technologically advanced SUV in the sub-compact SUV segment.
Mahindra XUV 3XO’s Skyroof
The teaser of the Mahindra XUV 3XO’s skyroof has been shared on YouTube. It has been shared by the official channel for the new SUV. It starts with the shot of the moon with half of the glass roof open. The video then mentions, “Why settle for the moon when you can have the whole sky.”
Following this, the entire panoramic sunroof is shown. For those who may not be aware, this is a segment-first feature. Currently, no other SUV offers a panoramic sunroof in the sub-compact SUV segment in India. Apart from this, there will be a lot of other segment-first features in the XUV 3XO.
Other segment-first features of the XUV
The Mahindra XUV 3XO will also get a remotely controlled dual-zone climate control system. Owners will be able to connect the car via the AdrenoX connected car app and control the system.
It most likely could also get ventilated seats as well. As per some reports, the company is also planning to offer ADAS Level 2 with the XUV 3XO. This will also be the segment-first feature.
Currently, the Hyundai Venue and Kia Sonet offer ADAS. However, they only offer level 1 ADAS. Most likely, the company will utilize the technology from the XUV 700 to facilitate this feature.
XUV 3XO: Design
In addition to the segment-first features, the company has also given the XUV 3XO a brand-new exterior design. Despite being based on the same XUV 300 platform, it will get a completely revamped exterior appearance.
Starting at the front, the car will come with a new and more aggressive-looking fascia. It will get a high-gloss black grille with a new twin peaks logo and diamond-like indentations. It will also get new LED projector headlights and new vertical LED DRLs.
Apart from this, the XUV 3XO will come with a set of new 16-inch dual-tone alloy wheels. Other changes will include a high-gloss finish on the C-pillar to give it a floating roof appearance. Lastly, the rear will now get a connected LED taillight.
XUV 3XO: Powertrain
As the model is based on the same XUV 300 that is currently available in the market, it will not come with any new powertrain options. The XUV 3XO will retain the same 1.2-liter turbocharged petrol engine (110 PS and 200 Nm torque).
It will also come with the same 1.5-liter turbocharged diesel engine option as well. It generates 115 PS and 300 Nm. Lastly, there will also be the same and more powerful 1.2-liter Turbo petrol engine. This motor makes 131 PS and 230 Nm of peak torque. The company will also be retaining all the transmission options as the outgoing XUV 300.
