Mahindra XUV 3XO: Teaser Video Reveals Fuel Efficiency & Acceleration Time

Mahindra’s upcoming SUV, the XUV 3XO or the XUV300 facelift, is all set to be launched on 29th April. Mahindra has been releasing several teaser images and videos of the upcoming SUV, and we have also seen spy pictures of the production-ready version of the XUV 3XO SUV. We now have a video showcasing the performance and fuel efficiency of the XUV 3XO, along with its interiors.

The video has been shared by Mahindra on their YouTube channel. In this video, we see the interior of the upcoming Mahindra SUV. The all-black cabin design looks similar to what Mahindra offers with the EV XUV400: perforated leatherette upholstery, an all-black layered dashboard with soft-touch material, a floating-type touchscreen infotainment system, a panoramic sunroof, push-button start/stop, a multi-function steering wheel, and a redesigned center console.

We also see buttons for the climate control, the automatic transmission gear lever, and the AC vents in this video. The cabin gets a dual-tone theme of black and ice grey. The instrument cluster of the XUV 3XO is a fully digital unit, the same unit first seen with the XUV700.

This video provides more details about the upcoming SUV. The instrument cluster shows details like the speedometer and tachometer. Between the digital dials, there is a gap that displays other information about the vehicle. The XUV 3XO will be offered with driving modes Zip, Zap, Zoom, just like the XUV700 and Scorpio N.

The teaser also reveals that the 0-60 kmph time of the upcoming SUV is going to be 4.7 seconds. The SUV will also have a claimed fuel efficiency of 20.1 kmpl, likely for the diesel version, as driving modes are usually offered by Mahindra in the diesel variants only. The SUV will also be equipped with 6 airbags and auto-dimming IRVM.

Earlier this month, Mahindra announced that they are going to ditch the XUV300 name for the SUV and will be renaming the compact SUV as XUV 3XO. It is the facelifted version of the XUV300 and will rival the likes of Tata Nexon, Kia Sonet, Maruti Brezza, and Hyundai Venue in the segment.

The front and rear of the SUV are completely redesigned. The headlamps on the XUV 3XO look entirely different from the outgoing model, with vertically stacked units and dual projector units. The inverted “C” shaped LED DRLs with a drop-down design can also be seen. The LED DRL is expected to be a dual-function unit that will also serve as a turn indicator.

The bumper and front grille are also redesigned. The side profile of the SUV looks the same as the XUV300. At the rear, we have a redesigned bumper, LED tail lamps with connecting LED bars on the tailgate, and reverse parking sensors and camera. According to reports, there are chances that Mahindra might introduce level 2 ADAS with the XUV 3XO. If that happens, it would be the first SUV in its segment to get these features, as Kia Sonet and Hyundai Verna only offer Level 1 ADAS features.

The Mahindra XUV 3XO will be offered with three engine options: a 1.2-liter mStallion turbo petrol engine, a 1.2-liter standard turbo petrol engine, and a 1.5-liter turbo diesel engine. All three engine options will be offered with a manual gearbox, and only the standard turbo petrol and diesel engines will get an AMT gearbox option.
