Kia India launched the new facelifted Sonet back in January 2024. Now a few months later, it has unveiled two new trims: HTE(O) and HTK(O). Positioned strategically in the lineup, these variants come with premium features but with a lower price tag.

The HTE(O) trim, positioned just above the base HTE variant, now comes with an enticing feature of an electric sunroof. Previously, the sunroof was exclusive to higher variants of this sub-compact SUV.

This new HTE(O) variant has been introduced with a price tag of Rs 8.19 lakh for the petrol engine. Meanwhile, the price has been set at Rs 10.00 lakh for the diesel engine (ex-showroom).

The HTK(O) variant has been priced at Rs 9.25 lakh for the petrol variant. On the other hand, the diesel HTK(O) variant has been priced at Rs 10.85 lakh.

Kia Sonet engine options

Both the HTE(O) and HTK(O) trims of the Kia Sonet are available with petrol and diesel powertrain options. The petrol engine boasts 83 bhp and a 1.2-litre, four-cylinder configuration. It comes paired with a 5-speed manual gearbox and delivers an impressive ARAI mileage of 18.83kmpl.

Meanwhile, the diesel variant comes equipped with a 116 hp, 1.5-litre, four-cylinder engine paired. This diesel motor comes mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox. Sadly, Kia is not offering any automatic gearbox options with these entry-level variants. Kia Sonet Image Gallery.
