Hero Mavrick 440 Revealed: Based On Harkey Davidson X440

In a momentous reveal, Hero has pulled the curtain back on the Mavrick 440, marking the end of a period filled with teasers and heightened anticipation. Scheduled to open for bookings in February, with deliveries slated for April, the Mavrick 440 is poised to leave a lasting impression on the biking landscape.

Under the hood, the Hero Mavrick 440 boasts a formidable air-/oil-cooled, 440cc, single-cylinder engine—a nod to the renowned Harley-Davidson X440. With an identical power output of 27hp, the Mavrick slightly edges out its counterpart in peak torque, registering 36Nm. Hero proudly asserts that a substantial 90 percent of this torque is readily accessible at a low 2,000rpm, promising an exhilarating and responsive ride.

The engine seamlessly integrates with a 6-speed gearbox featuring a slip-and-assist clutch, ensuring a smooth and controlled riding experience. The Harley X440 is a really nice motorcycle to ride, and much of that credit goes to the excellent engine-gearbox combination. Now that the same engine has been carried over to the Mavrick, it remains to be seen if the Hero motorcycle is just as fun to ride.

While sharing the same primary frame as the Harley-Davidson X440, the Mavrick distinguishes itself by adopting a simpler 43mm telescopic fork at the front, prioritizing practicality over the USD fork found on the Harley. With a ground clearance of 175mm and 17-inch wheels at both ends, the Mavrick promises a comfortable and stable ride, deviating from the 18-/17-inch wheel combination seen on its Harley counterpart.

The Hero Mavrick 440 offers riders the freedom to choose from three distinct variants: base, mid, and top. The base variant, presented in a pristine white color, is adorned with spoked wheels. The mid variant introduces alloy wheels and expands the color palette to two options. Standing at the pinnacle, the top-spec variant sets itself apart with cutting-edge features, including Bluetooth connectivity and stylish diamond-cut alloy wheels.

For those eagerly awaiting the chance to own the Mavrick 440, the countdown has begun. Bookings are set to commence in February, and the initial deliveries are scheduled to roll out in April 2024. As the excitement builds, stay tuned for the highly-anticipated price announcement, solidifying Hero’s commitment to redefining the biking experience with the Mavrick 440.
