About Annie Jackson
Jackson, who co-founded Credo in 2015, has grown the business from a single store on San Francisco’s Fillmore Street to a beacon for brand founders creating cleaner, more sustainable products. Today, the brand operates a robust digital business and 15 stores, including newly opened stores in Venice Beach, California, and Seattle, Washington that boast a new, sophisticated interior design.
“Annie’s tremendous passion, people-first leadership style, and deep industry experience uniquely position her to lead Credo into its next phase of growth,” said Tiffany Obenchain, managing partner of NextWorld Evergreen, the consumer growth equity fund that backs Credo. “Credo has significantly invested in its management team over the last six months, and we are excited to see this new team, under Annie’s leadership, fulfill Credo’s mission in new and meaningful ways.”
Credo appoints Jackson as CEO following the addition of experienced senior leaders aimed at bolstering the company’s management team. For example, in July, Credo Beauty appointed Boma Brown-West as vice president of sustainability and impact.
“I feel honored to carry on our mission of pushing the overall industry in a more positive direction and creating a space for products that are better for you and the environment,” says Jackson. “Responsible beauty creation is no longer a nice-to-have but table stakes for brands and we will continue to position Credo as a catalyst for change in a highly under-regulated industry.”
Under the direction of Jackson, Credo says it will continue to pursue long-term growth and expansion via store openings within current and new markets while also accelerating innovation within the company’s in-house brands, Exa, Follain, and EleVen by Venus Williams.
