The Perak leans more towards a vintage and classic formula, adorned with meticulously crafted brass elements on the fuel tank badges and filler cap. The Perak also comes with a quilted tan single-piece seat for enhanced comfort. Moreover, the rider foot pegs are also repositioned to ensure a more relaxed riding posture.

The suspension has been reworked and he foot pegs are moved 155 mm forward to give the rider a sofa-like riding posture. The Perak now features an attractive Stealth Matte Black/Matte Grey dual-tone color scheme. Prices for the 2024 Jawa Perak starts from Rs. 2.13 lakh (ex-showroom).

On the other hand, the 2024 Jawa 42 Bobber receives substantial updates which are aimed to make the bike more accessible and practical. In contrast to the Perak, it features a neo-modern design. Alloys wheels and tubeless tyres are now available which add to the functionality. The prices for the bobber are revised. The Moonstone white variant of the Jawa 42 Bobber starts at Rs. 2.09 lakhs (ex-showroom) which makes the bike even more affordable.

The 42 Bobber now offers new color options such as Mystic Copper and Jasper Red dual-tone. Multiple feature additions are also done to the bike which includes LED lighting, a digital instrument cluster, a USB charging socket, an adjustable seat, and multiple luggage mounting options.

Both the Jawa Perak and 42 Bobber are powered by the same 334cc liquid-cooled DOHC 4V engine. This engine delivers great performance with around 30 Bhp of peak power and 30 Nm of peak torque. Notable features include ByBre braking system, dual-channel ABS by Continental, slip and assist clutch, and a new seven-step preload adjustable mono-shock suspension.

In the Indian market both the bikes face stiff competition form players like Royal Enfield Meteor 350, Honda Highness CB350, Yezdi Roadster, Triumph Speed 400 and Harley Davidson X440. However, the Perak and 42 Bobber are the only bobbers in the budget Indian segment. The 42 Bobber was launched in 2022 while the Perak was first introduced back in 2018. This is the first update for both the motorcycles.

Ashish Singh Joshi, CEO of Jawa Yezdi Motorcycles, expressed his excitement about the launch, highlighting the popularity of the Jawa Perak and 42 Bobber in the Indian market.

The Jawa Perak quickly became one of our top-selling models, a testament to India’s growing aspirational market. The 42 Bobber only cemented our segment domination further. The bobber mindset is an acquired one; you either have it or don’t. You must ride it to know if you have it. That said, the Jawa Perak’s new design does tempt you over to the dark side!

Classic Legends will also launch new motorcycles under the Yezdi brand in the coming months. A brand new take on the Yezdi Roadking is expected to be launched soon. Notably, the upcoming Yezdi Roadking was showcased at a recent dealer event.
