The country’s largest carmaker, Maruti Suzuki, is all set to launch the new fourth-generation Swift in India. Now we have seen a lot of details about the top-spec ZXI trim of the new Swift. However, recently, a video walkaround of the mid-spec VXI trim has been shared online. This time around, the most popular variant of the Swift will come loaded with a ton of features. It could also become the most value-for-money variant in the new Swift lineup as well.

Following this, the presenter states that this time around, apart from the VXI variant, there will be a new VXI Optional variant as well.
Maruti Suzuki Swift VXI: Exterior
Following this, he starts with the exterior walkaround of the new 2024 Swift VXI. At the front, the VXI variant gets the same design for the headlight as the ZXI variant. This includes a single projector setup for the main headlight. However, most likely, this will be offered with halogen light instead of the LED that will come on the top-end variant.
Additionally, the Swift fourth generation will also come equipped with an L-shaped chrome inside the headlight. This will be replacing the LED DRLs that will be offered with the higher-spec models. Apart from this, indicators will be halogen, and there will be no LED fog lights on offer with the VXI variant.
The grille remains the same, which gets a new honeycomb pattern with a high-gloss black finish. The rest of the front looks the same with the newly designed front bumper and black skid plate in the middle of the lower portion of the bumper.
Moving to the side profile, the new Swift VXI will get black steel rims. Also, unlike the 16-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels offered on the top-spec variants, the steel wheels on the VXI variant will measure 14 inches. Also, unlike the previously shown LXI model, this variant will get all A, B, and C pillars finished in matte black.
Additionally, the VXI variant also gets a set of body-colored door handles. The ORVMs will also be painted in body color and will also get turn indicators integrated into them. As for the rear, it remains the same with clear LED taillights. However, compared to the ZXI variant, it will miss out on the rear camera. Thankfully, it will be offered with parking sensors.
2024 Swift VXI: Interior
Following this, the presenter then shows the interior of the VXI variant of the Swift. It can be noted that this model will come equipped with an all-black interior with fabric upholstery. It will also be getting a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system. The top-spec variant gets a 9-inch system.
Now what’s interesting about this new Swift VXI variant is that it will now come with the same automatic climate control system as the higher-spec variants. Apart from this, it will also get power windows and a similar layout of the overall dashboard.
2024 Swift VXI: Engine
Coming to the engine details, it will also be getting the same 1.2-liter naturally aspirated Z-Series 3-cylinder petrol engine. This motor will come equipped with a 12V mild-hybrid system. The total power output will be 81 bhp and 112 Nm of torque. It will be offered with a 5-speed manual and 5-speed AMT gearbox. Its fuel economy will be 25.72 kmpl.
